Holiday from Real
So, school is officially over! It actually ended on the 10th, but as I said in my last post, I was waiting to find out if I had to revise an essay for my 5001 class. I actually did really well on the assignment, so I didn’t have to revise, yay! I just hope it’s enough to give me an A in the class. My teacher has assignments weighted differently and I’m an English major, not a mathematician, so I’m just going to wait for grades to post. Fingers crossed!
Now, I’m sitting in my bedroom at my parent’s house in the high desert, a tradition I’ve been committed to since my mom moved out here to be with my dad who got a job as an engineer. I’ve really come to love this little break that I get from the world, it’s nice to regroup and reflect away from everything and everyone.
Here’s a little glimpse into what I’ve been doing out here:

Eating. I think I lost some weight from running around like crazy this semester, so my mom has made sure to cook some wonderful food!

Knitting. It’s taken me since last year, but I’m finally getting somewhere. I didn’t realize the yarn I bought was darker than the one I was using. Good thing this scarf is for me!

AMAZING SHOW! I am so glad I’ve finally caught on to the hype. I broke down and bought the first 8 eps of this season because my parent’s erased it from their DVR
I’ve been sleeping a lot, too. I can’t seem to get enough of it. The weather out here is really cold which makes sleep even better! The other night while watching The Walking Dead, there was a storm outside and it started snowing. Around 11, the wind was so loud that it was making my parent’s Santa wreath on their front door move, which sounded like someone was trying to get in the house. That was scary!
I hope everyone is enjoying their break so far! Thanks for reading

I’m jealous! Your break seems much less work-like than mine. I think you should not let the difference in yarn color bother you. Just rock that totally awesome scarf. Perhaps the two-toned neckwear craze will catch on. Thanks for the captivating blog posts this semester. Hope you enjoy the desert, and I especially hope the wreath bandit never makes it past the front door.

Work-like? On break? You make me look lazy, lol. I’m still alive, so the wreath bandit definitely didn’t get me! I’ll make you a scarf if I ever finish this one haha
